Crime and Punishment

Crime is a problem that affects people, families, and communities. Punishment is the response that society gives through the justice system. Its purpose is not only to punish, but also to protect society and, in some cases, to rehabilitate offenders.

In my country, crimes such as theft or violence usually receive prison sentences. Some people believe this is fair, while others think the justice system should focus more on education and rehabilitation, especially for young offenders.

Important questions are:

• Or should it also be about helping people change their behavior?

• How can society prevent crime in the first place?

I believe that crime and punishment should always respect human rights. The justice system should balance fairness, rehabilitation, and protection. Only in this way can society reduce crime and create a safer future for everyone.
